Der Workshop "Kein Platz für Sexismus" ist konzipiert um Schüler*innen Werkzeuge an die Hand zu geben, sodass sie ein vertieftes Verständnis für das Thema entwickeln,sich reflektiert mit damit auseinandersetzen und sich besser sowohl in der digitalen sowie analogen Welt orientieren können. Unabhängig vom Geschlecht der Schüler*innen werden sie aus ihren Lebenswelten abgeholt, so dass kein*e Schüler*in auf der Strecke bleibt.
Die Bausteine des Workshops sind unterschiedlich kombinierbar. Je nach Bedarf kann aus den oben genannten Bausteinen ein individueller Workshop zusammengesetzt und je nach Altergruppe angepasst werden.

Hi, ich bin Friederike!
Durch meine Forschung im Bereich der Gender Studies und Cultural Studies sowie meine Lehre an der Uni Greifswald und umliegenden Schulen bringe ich nicht nur eine erhöhte Sensibilität für Themen wie Sexismus und Rassismus mit, sondern auch das notwendige fundierte Wissen.
Meine Lehrerfahrung an Grundschulen und Gymnasien sowie mein gymnasiales Lehramtsstudium befähigen mich dazu die Inhalte der Workshops optimal an die Zielgruppe anzupassen. Eine schülerorientierte Lehr- und Arbeitsweise stehen für mich zweifelsohne im Zentrum.
STUDY SUPPORT EVENTS
Study Support-Project
During my time as a research assistant at the Department of English and North American Studies at the University of Greifswald (2022-2024), I founded the Department's Study Support project.
The initiative offered targeted academic support to students through tailored workshops, one-on-one guidance, and on-demand digital resources. A dedicated Moodle page provided accessible tools for exam preparation and skill development across disciplines. The project aimed to empower students in navigating academic demands with confidence and competence.
As part of the Study Support project, I have organized many interesting events aimed at the academic and professional advancement of our students.You will find a selection of these events below.
Pizza & Posters
On June 20, 2025 the Institute hosted a poster colloquium titled 'Pizza & Posters', offering students a space to exchange and discuss ideas for their final theses with peers, staff, and faculty.
Participants created posters on site - ranging from early topic ideas to more developed research projects -using materials provided by the Institute. The goal was to encourage informal academic dialogue and peer feedback in a relaxed setting.
The evening concluded with fresh pizza and cold drinks.
Meet the Faculty
The Meet the Faculty series was launched on November 9 in 2022 to foster informal dialogue between students and faculty members in a relaxed setting. The inaugural event featured Prof. Theresa Heyd, Chair of English Linguistics and Dean of the Faculty of Arts, who shared insights into her academic journey, research interests, and work-life balance. Students were encouraged to pose questions in person or in advance via email and social media. With light refreshments provided, the series aims to reduce barriers in academic communication and create a more approachable learning environment.
Alternative Berufswege für Anglistik/Amerikanstik-Absolvent*innen
This event focused on presenting our students career paths apart from universities and schools. The event began with a brief Meet & Greet where our guests talked about their professional careers and answered the questions of the students. Afterwards, the students had the opportunity to mingle with our guests and have more in-depth conversations and possibly even receive some personal tips.
The guest lecturers were Bettina Lavagno (freelance translator), Jasemin Uysal (Editor at Katapult Magazin), Juliane Gröger (event management, Festspiele MV), Christiane Bartelsen (author, lector, translator), Elisabeth Staak (film festival founder, film-maker), Annette Ehmler & Angela Hoppe (KarriereWegeMentoring).
Workshops
As part of the Study Support initiative, a range of workshops was developed and delivered to address the evolving needs of students. These included sessions on effective exam preparation, academic writing strategies, and time management, designed to foster independent learning and academic skills.
Each workshop combined theoretical input with hands-on practice and was regularly adapted based on participant feedback. The format encouraged peer exchange and reflected a student-centered approach to university teaching.
